Scott H. Hindsley AIA

Scott is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of ARCHIDEAS.  Honored with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1980, his education and experience has taken him across the globe.  Even so, he’s elected to co-create a practice with his friends and Partners, focusing on the diverse clientele of the Chicago Commercial Market.  From creative adaptive re-use to unique ground-up solutions, his broad knowledge and client-friendly attitude ensures the building process will be as successful as it is enjoyable.

In addition to his accomplishments as a Principal Architect, one of his greatest joys comes from giving back and paying it forward.  As a mentor, working elbow to elbow with the many talented people who are ARCHIDEAS, his collaborative approach supports the ongoing professional development of those on his team whose combined efforts make all of the firm’s projects timeless and multi-faceted realities.

In asking Scott if he has any special plans for any free time in his future, you’ll get, “Of course I have plans; I’m an Architect!”

On his days off, Scott can be found with his hands in the dirt tending his landscape, sharing fine wine and exceptional food with close friends and family, and daydreaming of the day he’ll become his own client by designing a sustainable, one of a kind dwelling to do just that.
