A NEW 6,400 SF, TIER II + DATA CENTER IN AN EXISTING MANUFACTURING BUILDING

WMS Gaming had outgrown their existing data center in Waukegan, Illinois and needed to significantly increase reliability, power densities, and overall capacity. The solution was a new two-story data center constructed within their existing high-bay manufacturing facility. 2,000 SF of  “white space” is located on the second level with a 24″ raised floor. The cabinets utilize return-air chimney’s to increase density and performance. New electrical and UPS rooms as well as chilled water pumps are located on the ground floor and feed up to the data center. A new exterior, enclosed equipment yard was constructed for pad mounted chillers; and two (2) 700 KW generators.
