RENOVATION OF A 99,100 SF WAREHOUSE/OFFICE BUILDING ON A 5.7 ACRE SITE, TO HOUSE BOTH RETAIL AND WAREHOUSE FUNCTIONS OF THIS HOME FURNISHINGS STORE
Seeking entry into the Oak Brook marketplace for its retail showroom as well as a centralized warehouse for all of its Chicagoland deliveries, this west suburban, existing warehouse/office building proved ideal but was in need of extensive modifications. Perforated stainless steel, corrugated metal, exposed painted structural steel, and aluminum and glass window systems were orchestrated to unify the building elements, reflecting the industrial vernacular of the existing structure as well as the urban/contemporary nature of Room&Board’s distinctive product line.
