A DEMOLITION, EXPANSION, AND REDEVELOPMENT OF MULTIPLE RETAIL BUILDINGS TOTALING 340,000 SF ON A WELL TRAFFICKED, 13.25 ACRE CORNER SITE
The key to unlocking this project involved the purchase and relocation of a city-owned public works facility by the owner of a nearby shopping center. In order to expand the previous center, it was critical to keep the existing key tenant Dominick’s in business during its relocation to a different building. The unique, public/private partnership required to complete this project proved to be a success, resulting in a highly functional center with a variety of retailers. The low, horizontal structure is articulated by a signature tower element that is internally illuminated, giving a distinctive look to this project.
