RENOVATION TO CREATE A 56,800 SF YOUTH TRAINING FACILITY ON A 5.0 ACRE SITE
Converting this indoor tennis structure into a state-of-the-art basketball and baseball youth training center posed a diverse set of challenges beyond the interior renovation. The facility, affiliated with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox organizations, required annexation into a local Village in addition to extensive changes to parking and stormwater systems. The building contains three regulation basketball courts with graphics matching the Chicago Bulls’ court at the United Center, and nine batting cages and dedicated throwing areas. Common areas include a pro shop, concession and seating area, locker room, and physical therapy offices.
